Daunted by rejection slips? Guy Biederman has found ways to embrace the submission process. One of his tricks is to refer to the pieces he turns in for review as being sent not submitted. His work is never rejected, it’s declined. He doesn’t spend time groaning and scoffing; instead, with levity and determination, it’s produce and send, produce and send. I’m looking forward to having some of that tenacious spirit rub off on me.
